Tasting note: 1953 is one of my all-time favorite vintage. Most recently, an immediately forthcoming, mature bricky, slightly, slightly medical Pauillac bouquet; a sweet, ripe entry, a touch of decay yet a rich drink and still tannic. Michael Broadbent M.W., October 1999
