Tasting note: First tasted alongside the 1996 vintage at the Chteau in September 1998: deep, fairly intense; a whiff of liquorice; surprisingly sweet, in fact delicious with pleasant, oaky endtaste. Again the following March, I liked it enormously, recording an aroma of raspberry and cedar. Sweet again. "Lovely fruit. Complete". Michael Broadbent M.W., November 2001
