Signed Kutani Kaburaki sei Bizan, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
Each decorated in typical coloured enamels and gilt with panels containing temple scenes, ladies in spring playing games among cherry blossoms, and in winter in a snow-covered garden, bordered by bands of intricately painted brocade designs, bold foliate lappets to the shoulder and an unusual stylised flame pattern beneath the rim, each with ornate karashishi mask handles
