A PAIR OF SILVER, FILIGREE AND ENAMEL CANDLESTICKS

The candlesticks each have domed spreading bases and knopped stems embellished with filigree work and supported by a Buddhist lion standing on a rocky platform next to a leafy plant, the Buddhist lion's tail, backbone and mane are all finely detailed, the surface of the platform is embellished with an enamelled stylised wave design, the stem and bases are further decorated with enamel and glass floral sprays, the candlesticks have later detachable nozzles.
