Cone beakers, dating from the 4th-6th century A.D., were manufactured across a wide region, including England, France, Germany, Belgium and as far east as the Black Sea region. This beaker can be classified as the Kempston type, where the conical form is embellished with applied trails along the rim and body. The Kempston type has several variations, all with vessel hues of green and differing arrangements of the trails.
