A MIGRATION PERIOD GLASS JUG
CIRCA 5TH-EARLY 7TH CENTURY A.D.
Olive green in color, pattern molded with shallow vertical ribs, the ovoid body on a high kicked base, the long cylindrical neck slightly tapering toward the wide funnel mouth, with a thin applied thread wound spirally around the upper neck and lower mouth, a thick coil below the rim, the thickened rim infolded, the ribbed strap handle pulled up from the body and folded below the rim
