Finely sculpted, depicted reclining with his head turned to his left, the tail curving under the right hind leg and up over the flank, the ribs subtly indicated, the mane a mass of wavy locks, the eyes and the open mouth drilled, the underside recessed, with a rectangular opening flanged on three sides to receive a sliding lid
