The sun god wearing a chlamys pinned at each shoulder, his head turned to his right, with long flame-like radiating locks crowning his head, his youthful face with almond-shaped eyes and incised pupils beneath arching brows, the small mouth agape

Provenance
Acquired by a member of the German diplomatic service in Istanbul, Ankara, and Thessaloniki, 1920s-early 1930s, and imported into Germany at that time; thence by descent.
