CHÂTEAU LYNCH BAGES
Misclassified? Chateau Lynch-Bages, originally accorded fifth growth status, today seems to merit a much higher ranking than this, as its prices and collectible value demonstrates. Jean-Michel Cazes took over the property from his father in 1973 and with his business director Daniel Llose oversaw a massive investment in the property. This investment was began to show fruit with the exceptionally good 1982 and 1983 vintages, and the property has continued to make wines at the highest level ever since. Today the Château is overseen by Jean-Charles Cazes, who took over for his father in 2006. The wines happily continue their trend of providing both quality and value to a discerning clientele.
