"Most recently, at the Sichel tasting in February 2001 and later that month with Farr Vintners, Bernard de Lange, managing director of Palmer, informed us that it was a very ripe Merlot vintage. Though it had a lot to offer, I found it at this stage very tannic, with a citrus-like touch of acidity. Will doubtless get its second breath. Last tasted Feb 2001 **(**) 2008-2018." MB, Vintage Wine
