Tasting Note: Most recently: two bottles, the first with an attractive colour; inimitable La Tâche fragrance with whiff of liquorice, olives, strawberry pinot; medium-dry, flavour of dried berries, very tannic, austere finish. The second bottle, slightly paler; softer nose, harmonious, forthcoming, spicy, cherry-like; less aggressive, lovely fruit, very dry finish. Last tasted Nov 2005. At best ***** M.B.
