Krug--Vintage 1964 Hand written slip label only. Damaged foil. Excellent level Tasting note: A rich wine of great character. Many notes, first in 1971, finding it fragrant, attractive, well balanced. Several more notes in the 1980s, at around 20 years old still relatively pale, with an exceptionally rich bouquet which evolved beautifully in the glass. By 1990, its colour had deepened to a distinct straw gold, bouquet showing age and character, seemed drier but had good length. Last tasted August 1991 **** Should still be drinking well though showing its age. M.B.
