A FINE AND RARE MING BLUE AND WHITE 'MYTHICAL BEASTS' DISH
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE-CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The interior medallion is decorated in vivid blue with a lion, horses and mythical beasts including a qilin surrounded by a landscape of rockwork and trees. The well is encircled with six floral and fruit sprays, the reverse detailed with floral scrolls.
