A FINE PAIR OF TURQUOISE-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE BOWLS
GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908)
Each bowl is potted with deep rounded sides rising to slightly flared rims, decorated in famille rose enamels with a bird perched on a branch of wisteria beside flowering branches of roses, the flowering wisteria extending over the rim and extending into the interior. Below the mouth rim is inscribed in iron-red with the characters, Dayazhai, beside a Tian Di Yi Jia Chun seal mark, all on pale turquoise ground, with narrow gilt bands encircling the rim and top of the ring foot. The base bears the iron-red Yongqing Changchun mark.
