A RARE GILT-DECORATED CELADON JADE 'DRAGON' BOWL
QIANLONG GILT-INSCRIBED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The small bowl is formed from semi-translucent celadon jade, decorated in gilt with a sinuous five-clawed dragon on the interior surrounded by three striding dragons against a dense floral-scroll ground. The exterior is similarly decorated with three dragons above a lappet band. The spreading foot is encircled by a rope-twist band.
3 11/16 in. (9.4 cm.) diam.
