更多詳情
As confirmed by recent examination of the Valsuani company archives, a collaboration between Rateau and this foundry is recorded as being active between 1934-1937. These records document two orders for bronze legs; 28 March 1935 for eight legs, and a subsequent order, 3 April 1936, for twelve legs. Please refer to the note on the previous lot for a detailed description of Rateau's collaboration with Valsuani. Stylized foliate legs matching this design are present on a dressing table created by Rateau for the Comtesse de Beaurepaire's townhouse, where they support a rectangular top with demi-lune cut-out to the leading edge.
