EROTICA -- CONTINENTAL SCHOOL. A suite of erotic watercolours, 'L' Amour et comment on le fait', France or Germany, late 19th or early 20th century.
3 volumes, small 2° (250 x 180mm), comprising a total of 42 pen, ink and watercolour drawings (each c.165 x c.120mm), most with manuscript captions, mounted. (Some captions trimmed, some light soiling, a few short repaired tears.) 20th-century red morocco, for two vols, the third in 20th-century vellum, all sides with gilt fillet border and corner tools, the former with more recent spine labels.
A suite of explicit erotic watercolours, all in the same anonymous hand, and most with humorous captions. A group of five scenes showing antics among nuns and in the religious orders is bound separately. (3)
