Gregory'; AND ALSO INSCRIBED BY BROCK PETERS, whose character was defended by Peck's: 'Tom Robinson was my opportunity to express a painful truth... to open the eyes of the blind. Brock Peters'. The novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1961, and the film adaptation won three Academy Awards, including Best Actor in a Leading Role for Peck.
