Lot Essay

Morrocco was born in Aberdeen. He studied at Gray's School of Art and taught there part-time between 1946-1949. Morrocco's work from this time was very much under the influence of Robert Sivell, his tutor and Head of Painting at Gray's. His palette is more subdued than his later works of which we have already seen examples.
