Two autograph letters from John Lennon to Bob Hanzen, comprising: a hand-written letter signed and inscribed in black felt pen H. Food [Hunt-Wessen Foods, Inc.] Dear Bob Hanson [sic] The address for photo is LENNON, 105 BANK ST, N.Y., N.Y. 10014, Thank you, Have a good trip, Olé!, John Lennon; and a typescript letter telling Bob, yes! we do remember all of you! Thank you very much for sending the photo, we framed it and it now hangs in the kitchen. All the best to all of you, hope Spain was fun. Congratulations to your daughter, we send our best wishes for a happy future, thanks again, John Lennon/Yoko Ono, the letter signed by Lennon and signed Yoko Ono in Lennon's hand, with original mailing envelope frank-marked 30 July, 1973; and a black and white photograph of John Lennon and Yoko Ono at an airport with representatives of Hunt-Wesson Foods -- 8x10in. Lot Essay

The vendor's Father-in-law worked for Hunt Wesson Foods in the 1970s as part of a sales team who won a trip to Spain. They were on the same flight as John Lennon and posed with Lennon and Yoko Ono in New York before boarding the flight. Apparently, Lennon gave this to Mr. Hanzen during the flight so he could send him the photograph.
