Lot Essay

Lennon began experimenting with Japanese sumi ink in the late 1960s and produced a number of drawings, some of which were later produced in limited edition prints by Yoko Ono. This particular drawing is similar to a print entitled Two Is One published in 1990.
According to the vendor, this drawing was given by Lennon to a Chauffeur who drove the Rolling Stones and the Beatles in the 1960s.
