A DIAMOND AND GEM-SET VANITY CASE, BY BOUCHERON
The rectangular bi-colour box with pierced hinged cover depicting parrots and butterflies among flowering foliage with engraved detailing, set with circular-cut diamond accents together with cabochon and facetted sapphire and ruby highlights, the reeded sides and base with a similarly designed wedge shaped thumb piece, opening to reveal six compartments including two lipstick holders, a powder compact and a folding mirror, circa 1940, 14.0cm long
