Lot Essay

With its domed-panelled doors inlaid with marquetry and moulded shape this cabinet belongs to a rare group of cupboards shown in G. Haase, Dresdener Möbel, Leipzig 1993, pl. 5, 6.
The present example is a particularly rich example having waved panelled doors as well as the superb marquetry panels above with the crickets.
