A later edition, SIGNED AND INSCRIBED "To Elizabeth from Winston S. Churchill 1949." Elizabeth Navarro was a long-time assistant to Churchill's friend Bernard Baruch. Thoughts and Adventures collects some of Churchill's best known essays, including his most famous inter-war article "Shall We All Commit Suicide," his account of "The Battle of Sydney Street" and vivid portraits of contemporaries such as Lloyd George and IRA leader Michael Collins.
