Original beige cloth lettered in brown, original beige dust-jacket (a few tiny tears to dust-jacket, top extremity lightly rubbed). Provenance: William D. Vincent (presentation inscription from the author and book label).
FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY inscribed by Roosevelt in the year of publication 'With Christmas greetings' to William D. Vincent (1866-1935). Vincent was long term president of the Old National Bank of Spokane (1920-1933). Tipped into the book is a typed letter signed by the American sculptor, Alexander Phimister Proctor (1860-1950), a facsimile note of Roosevelt on Abraham Lincoln, Mr. Vincent's ticket to a reception in honour of Roosevelt, a postcard and two newspaper clippings.
