FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY inscribed by Roosevelt in the year of publication 'With Christmas greetings' to William D. Vincent (1866-1935). Vincent was long term president of the Old National Bank of Spokane (1920-1933). Tipped into the book is a typed letter signed by the American sculptor, Alexander Phimister Proctor (1860-1950), a facsimile note of Roosevelt on Abraham Lincoln, Mr. Vincent's ticket to a reception in honour of Roosevelt, a postcard and two newspaper clippings.
