HENRY VI (1421-1471), king of England. Document with probably secretarial signature ('R. Henry'), Westminster, 13 December 1449, letters patent granting protection to any subjects of Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, who may visit his dominions for the purposes of trade, in conformity with the recent treaty between himself and the Duke, in Latin, on vellum, first line decorated with calligraphic flourishes, 17 lines on one membrane, 185 x 345mm, one contemporary and one later endorsement in French on verso, Great Seal of England in yellow wax (intact) attached to slit lower strip of document; in a fitted folder.
