With a rectangular triple-divided top, the center opening to reveal a mirror and a fabric-lined well flanked by lidded compartments, the deep frieze centered by a drawer fitted with a leather-lined writing slide and recesses for inkwells, the top veneered to form a flower-filled basket flanked by agricultural trophies, bearing a stamp to the underside of the front left and rear left corners, J.F.LELEU JME, the centre underside branded FH and with a black ink inscription No.1, also with the remnants of an oval printed paper label CHENUE Emballeur.....Paris inscribed in pencil Wildenstein
