signed 'Rodin' (on the front); inscribed with the foundry mark 'F.BARBEDIENNE.Fondeur' (on the left side of the base); numbered '14' and with the ink inscription '80139 o.g' (on the inside)

Originally conceived in 1886 and in this reduced size in 1901; this edition cast between 1901 and 1918 in an edition size of between 105 and 109; this bronze version cast on 16 March 1912
