An early copy of Michelangelo's drawing of 1538-1544. The original drawing was executed as a gift for Vittoria Colonna and is now in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston (F. Hartt, The Drawings of Michelangelo, London, 1971, no. 455).
