Lot Essay

De Wint's Thames view shows barges near St Mary's Church, Lambeth, beside Lambeth Palace. The tower, which survives, is 14th Century, the body of the church was rebuilt shortly after de Wint's death. The church is now home to the Museum of Garden History.
