(46 mm.) high, the former in gilt-metal fausse-montre frame with blue glass surround, the glazed reverse set with seed-pearl initials AE surrounded by further intials ME, AE, PE and FE, laurel leaf below, on plaited hair and with blue glass surround; the latter in gilt-metal frame with hair and blue glass reverse
Together with a string of rose quartz beads, purportedly worn by the sitter (2)

Lot Essay

Lewis Edwards of Talgarth and Tonfane, South, married Ann, daughter of Salusbury Pryce, and had a son, Pryce and several daughters. Two of their daughters, Mary and Frances, married and had issue.
