possibly engagement figures, the gentleman seated, legs crossed, between a book and top hat, at his feet a seated dog and lamb, the lady holding a book, her hat at her side, at her feet a cat and lamb, before flowering bocages above stepped rocky mounds, painted in colours -- 8½in.
