CASE: drum shaped, flanked by nymphs holding and binding the wings of Cupid on a rectangular plinth with garland mount, above an ormolu-mounted white marble plinth with astragal ends and breakfront façade with relief panel of playful putti flanked by lion's-head masks, on a conforming portoro marble base with engine-turned feet DIAL: 5 in. diameter white enamel with inner concentric date ring, signed 'muret' at base, pierced and engraved gilt hands, blued steel calendar hand MOVEMENT: twin barrels with anchor escapement, silk suspension and countwheel strike to bell; pendulum
