Two Minton 'flat-back' figures
comprising: a figure of a 'Friar', modelled standing, drinking from a cask before a barrel, wearing typical dress above an oval base titled PRO OMNIBUS BIBO between gilt pipes and vines, painted in colours and gilt -- 4 7/8in. (12.5cm.) high; and a figure of 'Mother Goose', seated, holding the head of a goose and a handful of seed, wearing simple dress on a mound base -- 4in. (10.2cm.) high, circa 1824-28 (2)
