"The '96 Palmer is a blend of 55 Cabernet Sauvignon, 40 Merlot, 4 Cabernet Franc, and 1 Petit Verdot. On the nose it shows a nice currant fruit character with a hint of tobacco. The texture of the wine on the palate is very silky and very classic, with firmish tannins and good length.
