Four notes. Evolving steadily through the 1980s, sweet by any standards, well endowed but very tannic. Most recently: medium-deep, very mature; distinct varietal nose, tannic, at the end pure Pinot; sweet, delicious flavour, soft, despite its tannic finish. Last tasted April 2004 **** M.B.
