PATENT -- A 2-page patent printed on vellum, from 9 January 1866, stating Alfred Leighton "is in possession of an invention for Improvements in Printing and in Apparatus employed therein," with the seal of Queen Victoria in brown wax attached to the document by a red cord and contained in a fitted metal case (seal cleanly broken in two), all contained in original wooden box (very worn).
