Lot Essay

Kim Chunghyun was born in Yongam in South Cholla Province and graduated from the Kawabata painting school in Japan. From 1942 to 1944 he exhibited his work in the Joseon Art Exhibition in Seoul and in 1957 he became a member of the Baik Yang Society. He lectured at Sung Sin University, San Myung University, and Sou Do University in Seoul. In 1969 his work was shown at the "National" exhibition in Seoul.
