YUAN/MING DYNASTY (1279-1644)
One is of elongated quadrilobed shape and is carved with a dragon leaping above waves crashing against rocks in pursuit of a flaming pearl reserved on a pierced ground. The other is rectangular and deeply carved on one side with a dragon in the middle, and a peach, a chime and flower sprigs at the corners, while the reverse is carved with a phoenix standing on a rock amidst peonies and below the sun. Together with a white and russet jade archaistic scabbard slide, Ming dynasty, which is carved from semi-translucent stone with areas of russet color on the underside.
