A RARE ENAMELED TURQUOISE-BLUE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL, YANGZHOU, QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON-RED SEAL SCRIPT AND OF THE PERIOD, 1770-1785
The deep turquoise-blue bottle is finely painted in delicate famille rose enamels with an overall scene of egrets standing amidst blossoming rose bushes in a grassy setting. The neck is encircled by a narrow band of arabesques and stylized flowerheads.
