A VERY RARE FAMILLE ROSE MOLDED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD, 1770-1795
The baluster-form bottle is crisply molded with six vertical ogival panels containing formalized floral designs. A band of lotus petals encircles the shoulders beneath a band of raised bosses and a gilt band of leiwen around the neck. All of the raised decoration is delicately picked out in famille rose enamels and reserved on a finely granulated, gilt ground.
