MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The heavily-potted censer is raised on three mask and paw supports. The shallow rounded sides curve inward to the flat rim and are carved with the Eight Trigrams between borders of small applied florets. It is covered overall with a bluish sea-green glaze ending in a slightly irregular circle in the interior around an unglazed area impressed with trellis pattern.
