                                            A RARE BRONZE SWORD 
POSSIBLY SOUTHEAST CHINA, CIRCA 3RD-2ND CENTURY BC
The sword has a tapering, faceted blade and a guard with spikey flanges at the edges that is cast in high relief in the center on both sides with a median ridge flanked by two character-like motifs. The slightly waisted handle is cast with tiny rounded spikes, and the faceted pommel is encircled by a ribbed band. There is blue-green encrustation.
