A CIZHOU-TYPE RUSSET AND BLACKISH-BROWN-GLAZED DISH
NORTHERN SONG/JIN DYNASTY, 10TH-13TH CENTURY
The dish has shallow rounded sides, and is covered with a russet skin on the interior and exterior that thins in areas to expose the lustrous, blackish-brown under glaze, and ends in an irregular line above the ring foot to expose the pale grey body.
