A DINGYAO MOLDED PETAL-RIMMED BOWL
JIN DYNASTY (1115-1234)
The bowl has rounded, widely flared sides. The interior is crisply molded with a flowering, leafy prunus branch in the center, ribbon-tied stems of lily, prunus, hibiscus and rose in the well, and a band of key fret below the unglazed, petal-lobed rim cut with six notches. The interior and exterior are covered with a glaze of slightly olive-ivory color that falls in tears on the exterior and continues over the narrow foot ring to cover the base.
