A BLUE AND WHITE OVOID JAR AND COVER
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The ovoid body is decorated with a continuous landscape scene including figures and a scholar in a mountain retreat, all between blue-ground chrysanthemum and scroll bands. The, low domed cover is further painted with a solitary figure seated on a rocky outcrop beneath the moon.
