A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE VASE AND A ZHADOU
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The compressed body of the pear-form vase is decorated with four lotus joined by ruyi motifs, below bands of leaf tips separated by a narrow russet bow-string band encircling the tall neck. The globular body of the zhadou is finely painted with elegant ladies in a garden setting below the widely flared conical mouth painted on the interior with four floral roundels.
Vase 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high; zhadou 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) diam. (2)
