A RARE PEACHBLOOM-TYPE GLAZED BALUSTER VASE, MEIPING
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE-CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The vase is well-potted with high, rounded shoulder below a short, waisted neck, and tapers elegantly towards the slightly flared foot. It is covered in a glaze shading from crushed-strawberry red on the shoulder to greyish red and celadon. The mouth rim and interior are glazed white.
