A RARE FAMILLE ROSE-DECORATED TURQUOISE-GROUND INGOT-SHAPED TRAY
QIANLONG GILT SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The center of the interior is decorated with a wan-centered flower head surrounded by four bats below stylized flower sprays on the sides, those at the ends incorporating a peach spray. There are further flower sprays on the exterior and those at the ends are beneath iron red bats. The gilt-highlighted decoration is reserved on a turquoise enamel ground.

A very similar brush washer, with a gilt Daoguang, rather than a gilt Qianlong mark, was included in the exhibition, The Arts of the Ch'ing Dynasty, T.O.C.S., Vol. 35, 1963-64, pl. 82, no. 237.
