A FAMILLE ROSE CORAL-GROUND LOBED VASE
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The vase is of hexalobed, ovoid form with a tall neck and an out-turned, petal-lobed rim. It is decorated with various large floral sprays in between decorative borders and beneath archaic designs on the neck, all of which are reserved on a bright coral ground in contrast to the turquoise-enameled interior. The base is also turquoise, while the foot rim and apocryphal Qianlong seal mark on the base are gilded.
